Blaine at Hibbing/Chisholm
5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27

Blaine had allowed just one goal total and held opponents to 11 shots or less in each of its first three games, but had those marks and its perfect recorded ended in a 3-1 loss to Maple on Nov. 21.

Bengals freshman Ramsey Parent is off to fast start with six goals and two assists in four games. Junior Paige Beebe (4-1-5) and sophomore Gabby Rosenthal (4-4-8) help lead No. 6-2A Blaine, a team that figures to contend for another Class 2A, Section 5 title this season.

Proctor/Hermantown shut out No. 15-1A Hibbing/Chisholm 3-0 in a rematch of last year’s Class 1A, Section 7 championship, a contest in which the Bluejackets upset the Mirage 2-1.

As an 11-time state tournament participant, Hibbing/Chisholm has found a way to build toward the postseason.

The Bluejackets (1-2) have Ohio State commit Mallorie Iozzo leading the offense. Iozzo had a six-point game against Eveleth-Gilbert in a season-opening 7-1 victory, but she’s gone scoreless in the past two games.
