Cloquet-Esko-Carlton at White Bear Lake
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 1

Tuesday’s meeting with White Bear Lake is the first trip out of town for Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, which has quickly compiled a 2-1 record.

The stop in Vadnais Heights to face the Bears is the first of two treks south to the Twin Cities this week for the Lumberjacks, who are in the metro on Friday to face Hopkins.

C-E-C's Ryan Bourgeault and Cole Litsey each have two goals and three points while Ryan Nelson has two goals and two assists for a team-leading four points.

White Bear Lake ran through Park of Cottage Grove (2-1) and Mounds View (4-1) last week.

The Bears went 21-6 and reached the Class 2A, Section 4 semifinals last season. White Bear Lake has reached the state tournament 18 times but has not been back since 2011.

The Bears lost a lot of their offensive pop from a year ago and will look for scoring production from new faces. So far, five different players have goals this season, led by junior forward Connor Bjornberg's two.
