Duluth East at Duluth Marshall
7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16

Duluth East is on a bit of a tailspin, having lost to Cloquet-Esko-Carlton (4-3) on Thursday and at St. Michael-Albertville (2-1) on Saturday.

The No. 3-2A Greyhounds are assured to go down in rankings. But more importantly, Duluth East has to get back to playing winning hockey, and longtime rival Duluth Marshall stands in the path.

Marshall has struggled to a 1-6 record this season after finishing 19-6-3 a year ago. This week, the Hilltoppers have a meeting with No. 2-1A Breck waiting for them on the other side of the Duluth East game, followed by a trip to Roseau on Dec. 23.
