Delano at Hutchinson
7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18

This matchup features two Tigers squads from the Wright County Conference.

Hutchinson and Delano might be contenders to become factora in Class 1A, but if either side wants to try to keep pace with Holy Family Catholic (7-2, 3-0) at the top of the league standings, or even second place Orono (6-2, 1-0), this is a game each needs to have.

Delano (5-2, 0-0) enters the week without having yet played a conference game, though the No. 9-1A Tigers face Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato on Tuesday.

Delano is coming off an impressive 9-6 victory over No. 6-1A St. Cloud Cathedral and also has quality wins over Blake, St. Louis Park, Chanhassen and Bloomington Kennedy.

Ben Meyers and John Keranen already have eight goals apiece for the Tigers, as junior captains are off to productive starts.

Hutchinson, meanwhile, has only played four games entering the week, but the Tigers have put up some gaudy goal totals, scoring 11 in back-to-back games.

After a 3-0 start to the schedule, the Tigers fell to the Fire 6-1 in league play on Dec. 10.

Hutchinson is led by high-scoring senior forwards Kyle Graf (7-8-15) and Kendall Glaser (7-9-16).
