Duluth Denfeld at St. Cloud Cathedral
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 22

Duluth Denfeld takes on St. Cloud Cathedral in an outstate meeting between two talented teams looking to put together some consistency heading into the new year.

St. Cloud Cathedral (6-4) snapped a three-game losing streak Friday night with a 7-3 home win over Mankato West. Before that, the No. 9-1A Crusaders fell in succession to No. 6-1A Delano (9-6), No. 3-1A St. Cloud Apollo (4-1), and No. 2-1A Breck (9-1) in a tough stretch of hockey that dropped their record closer to .500.

The game Tuesday night offers the chance for both sides to play well, and one side to earn another victory over a quality opponent.

Duluth Denfeld has been streaky in its efforts, handing No. 16-2A Greenway its only loss while falling in uncompetitive games to Bloomington Jefferson (8-1) and No. 1-1A Hermantown (5-1).

Hunters senior goaltender River Alander has a 3-2-1 record with a .907 save percentage and a 2.75 goals-against average.
