Cloquet-Esko-Carlton at Hibbing/Chisholm
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5

In a nonconference matchup between two of north central Minnesota's more interesting teams, Hibbing/Chisholm hosts Cloquet-Esko-Carlton meets Tuesday at Memorial Arena.

The No. 4-1A Bluejackets (11-0) enter the new year unbeaten behind the play of junior defenseman Scott Perunovich, a Minnesota-Duluth recruit who already has amassed 27 assists and eight goals.

In net, freshman goalie Ryan Ullan has an 11-0 record with a .940 save percentage and a 1.26 goals-against average.

The Lumberjacks (9-6) have some big wins but have struggle to score consistently and barely average more goals per game than they are allowing (2.87 to 2.60).

Cloquet-Esko-Carlton are led in scoring by junior forward Dylan Johnson, who has 12 goals and 20 points in 15 games.
