Bloomington Kennedy vs Bloomington Jefferson
7 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 30

The Battle of Bloomington takes place Saturday night on the main sheet at the Ice Garden, pitting Jefferson against Kennedy in another installment of a rivalry in a city and rink that’s produced dozens of NHL players.

Kennedy (11-9-0) has yet to build consistency but boasts a winning record despite being upside down in its goals for (2.75) and goals against (3.10) averages.

The Eagles have two double-digit goal scorers in senior forwards Jory McWilliams (15-14-29) and Anders Gelecinskyj (10-3-13), while goaltender Jimmy Mrozek has a .902 save percentage and a 2.95 goals-against average.

Jefferson (8-11-0) is in the positive in terms of goal differential (3.89-3.74), but a challenging schedule in the new year has put the Jaguars back on their heels a bit.

Senior forward Ryan Graff has team-highs in goals (12) and points (27), and the Jaguars have received strong offensive production from blueliners A.J. Robbel (4-17-21) and Noah Ganske (9-6-15).

Last year, Jefferson won 6-2 as they outshot Kennedy 41-20 and scored twice on the power play.
