Holy Family Catholic at Grand Rapids
3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6

Holy Family Catholic travels north Saturday to face Grand Rapids in what could provide a free-wheeling offensive showdown between some of the state’s top forwards.

The No. 3-2A Fire (16-3-0) bring impressive stat lines to support their record and current seven-game winning streak. Holy Family Catholic averages nearly five goals (4.89) a game while allowing just 1.63. On the power play, the Fire are converting at 25 percent, and the penalty kill is operating at 81 percent.

Will Garin, a senior forward and Connecticut commit, continues to lead Holy Family Catholic in scoring, with 21 goals and 20 assists through 18 games.

Grand Rapids (15-6-1) is close to wrapping up its challenging independent schedule, with the Fire serving as the last ranked Class 2A team on the docket.

The No. 13-2A Thunderhawks have four players with double-digit goal totals, led by North Dakota commit Mitchell Mattson (16 goals, 38 points). Micah Miller has 13 goals while Alex Adams and Jonah Bischoff each have 12.
