Eden Prairie at Minnetonka
7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5

Eden Prairie has experienced plenty of heartbreak this season with six of its nine losses coming by three points or less.

However, the Eagles' first meeting with Lake Conference and Class 4A, Section 2 foe Minnetonka (13-7, 1-3) was not one, as Eden Prairie (11-9, 2-2) cruised to a 90-67 home win on Dec. 18.

The rematch is set for Friday. While a league title may be out of reach for both, they are still battling for section seeding, making this an important matchup for the postseason.

Defense fueled the Eagles' last victory over the Skippers, as they held all but one player to single digits in the scoring column. Minnetonka senior guard Amar Miller was impressive as Minnetonka's high scorer, exploding for a season-high 35 points in the game.

Eden Prairie leading scorer Owen Chose (17.3 ppg) was nearly as remarkable, finishing with a team-high 27 points in the win.
