Edina's Clayton Phillips and Lakeville North's Ryan Poehling headline a group of four Minnesotans named to the USA Hockey Under-18 team that will compete at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in the Czech Republic and Slovakia on Aug. 8-13.

A sophomore defenseman, Phillips finished the high school season with 14 assists, including six as a member of the Hornets' power-play unit, and five goals. He scored once for Edina (15-10-2) in a 5-3 loss in the Class 2A, Section 6 semifinals to eventual state champion Wayzata. The Minnesota commit played three games with the USHL's Fargo Force this spring.
