Delano vs. Buffalo
7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13

Delano has been impressive early this season, but the No. 1-1A Tigers cannot look past a Buffalo team with enough talent to pose a challenge.

Delano (4-0), which averages 8.25 goals per game while allowing 1.50, is fueled by senior captains Ben Meyers (8-15-23), Brian Halonen (8-12-20) and John Keranen (7-8-15), who have combined for 23 of the team’s 32 goals this season. The Tigers also are converting 46 percent of their power play opportunities.

Buffalo ended a streak of three consecutive one-goal defeats with a convincing 4-1 victory over St. Cloud on Saturday. Starting with Delano, the Bison (2-3) close December with a daunting slate of games, including a matchup at St. Michael-Albertville, another against Wayzata and one versus No. 6-1A Mahtomedi in the Silver Division quarterfinals at the Schwan Cup.
