Sibley East at Jordan
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14

The two top teams in the Minnesota RIver Conference also are within the Class 2A, Section 2 North Subsection, making Tuesday’s matchup crucial for both teams who are vying for the best seeding position possible.

Jordan dropped a 72-70 overtime thriller to No. 16-2A Waterville-Elysian-Morristown last Thursday. Senior forward Jimmy Vollbrecht scored 29 points in the loss. The No. 14-2A Hubmen (12-2, 4-0) aim to bounce back against Sibley East (10-2, 5-1).

To win against Jordan, the Wolverines will have to find a way to negate the 6-foot-8 Vollbrecht.

Sibley East has won its past five games and are led by all-conference guard Gavin Bates, who led the Wolverines with 20 points in their 67-56 win over Tri-City United on Jan. 19.
