Burnsville at Lakeville North
3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28

Lakeville North sits in first place in the South Suburban Conference, though Burnsville sits a half game back, and could make a late push. Combined, these two teams have won 13 straight games.

Lakeville North (13-2-2, 9-1-1) has not lost since Dec. 29 and are averaging close to five goals per game during that span. Junior forward Blake Brandt (17-18-35) has emerged as the team’s top offensive weapon after averaging a goal and two points per game. In net, Buzz Eigner has developed into a true No. 1 with a 10-2 record, a .900 save percentage and 2.19 goals-against-average.

Burnsville (10-6-1, 8-1-1) is burning hot with a six-game winning streak that dates back to Jan. 5. The No. 20-2A Blaze picked up a crucial 3-1 victory over Lakeville South on Saturday night, and will look to keep that momentum going into late January.

Three players have handled to bulk of the Blaze's offense, most notably senior captain Roman Ahcan (9-21-30). Teammates Daniel Sandvig (11-13-24) and Ryan Pearson (10-8-18) have double digit goal totals for Burnsville.
