St. Louis Park vs. Chaska
7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31

St. Louis Park has the state’s leading scorer in Bauer Neudecker, and the Orioles are quietly having a solid season, having already passed their win total (14) from last year.

Chaska has also already passed its win total from last season (13), and is a program on the rapid upswing. These teams, along with Chanhassen, are fighting for first place in the Metro West Conference.

Neudecker's production (37-26-63) is the main reason the Orioles are scoring greater than five goals per game.

A supporting cast of juniors, Jonathan Sorensen (21-13-34) and Luke Mobley (14-20-34), have also emerged as consistent scorers for St. Louis Park (15-5, 3-1).

Goaltending continues to be solid for the Orioles, who have two talented goalies in junior Atticus Raasch (9-2, .911 save percentage, 2.54 goals-against average) and William Pinney, a 6-foot-3 freshman with a .899 save percentage and a 2.56 GAA with two shutouts to his credit.

Chaska (14-6, 2-1) is riding a four-game winning streak into Tuesday night’s home game. The ultra-young and talented Hawks are led in scoring by sophomore defenseman Mike Koster (15-12-27) and freshman Shane Lavelle (13-12-25).

The Orioles defeated the visiting Hawks 4-2 in their first meeting this season on Jan. 10.
