Mankato East vs. Mankato West
3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11

Mankato West (10-7-1, 7-2-1) looks to make it a season sweep over Mankato East, after winning 2-1 in the first meeting on Jan. 19. The Scarlets are coming off a loss to St. Paul Academy late last week, just their third since Christmas.

Kyle Looft (12-20-32) and Jimmy Miller (10-18-28) are West's top points producers, while Jackson Petersen (.898 save percentage and 2.59 goals-against average) has logged nearly every minute in goal.

Mankato East (10-5-4, 6-3) has picked up crucial Big 9 Conference victories over Owatonna and Austin (twice) since Jan. 12, and the Cougars are poised to make a run in the conference standings with all six of their remaining games coming against league opponents.

Junior defenseman Jake Anderson is having an outstanding season for East, leading the Cougars in assists (26) and points (33) from the blue line.
