White Bear Lake at Stillwater
7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16

It was a 2-1 loss to White Bear Lake on Jan. 14 that halted Stillwater's perfect trajectory, but after posting two more losses to teams in Class 2A's top 10 in late January, the Ponies seem to be rising again.

Thursday night on its home ice, Stillwater (19-3-0, 13-1-0) looks to square things with White Bear Lake in a battle crucial to the Class 2A, Section 4 seeding process and the Suburban East Conference crown chase.

Ponies goalie Seth Eisele has been solid, posting a .926 save percentage, a 1.34 goals-against average and a a 17-3 mark that includes five shutouts. On the blue line, senior Jesse Bjugstad has been an anchor while producing 21 points and nine goals -- with five on the power play.

White Bear Lake (13-6-4, 10-3-1) will need some help to capture the league title, but the Bears can charge into the Section 4 tournament with a victory over Stillwater.

Matt Jennrich (20-14-34) leads the Bears in goals, while Chase Hamstad (15-26-41) is the team’s points leader.
