DeLaSalle at Champlin Park
7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23

This season, DeLaSalle has only lost to No. 2-4A Maple Grove (67-64) on a buzzer-beater and to IMG Academy (90-51), a Florida-based prep school that’s ranked fifth in the nation in USA Today’s Super 25, and both of those games were in December.

The No. 1-3A Islanders (19-2, 10-0) enter the week having won 14 consecutive games on the shoulders of George Mason commit Goanar Mar (21.8 points per game) and Gabe Kalscheur (17.3 ppg), but the DeLaSalle rotation will likely play an important role in keeping up with the Champlin Park's deep lineup.

The No. 1-4A Rebels (20-0, 14-0) have been untouched this season, with their closest contests coming in 10-point victories against Maple Grove (70-60) on Feb. 6 and Park Center (85-75) on Jan. 24.

Dayton signee McKinley Wright is one of the state’s top rebounding guards and is always a threat for a triple-double, as he averages 22 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game.

Pulling Marquette prospect Theo John (14.4 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 5.3 bpg) away from the paint will be vital for the Islanders, who will need to manufacture some easy inside baskets while avoiding John -- the state’s second-leading shot blocker.
