Former Hill-Murray defenseman Kevin Schulze made a verbal commitment to play college hockey at Wisconsin.

Schulze, currently playing with Muskegon of the U.S. Hockey League, captained the Pioneers last season and led their defenseman with 29 assists and 33 points.

The Pioneers most versatile defenseman, Schulze played in all situations and ran the power play. He drew Hill-Murray even with White Bear Lake at 4-4 in the third period of last season’s Class 2A Section 4 championship game. The Bears later won 5-4 in double overtime.
