2003 conference champion teammates are giving back to the program.

The coaching staff at North High is very familiar with one another. Everyone was together in 2003 when the Polars won the Classic Suburban Championship. Only Head Coach Jerry Diebel and Assistant Coach John Anderson were coaches back then. The other three were players on that team.

Nate Peasley was an All-Conference player that season. Peasley is one of the top point getters as a defenseman in Polar history.  He went on to play four years of college hockey at Bethel.

C.J. Willms was a sophomore that year and went on to become an All-Conference and All-State player. C.J. was a Polar captain and led the Polars to a very succesful season his senior year. He went to Owatonna and played three years of Junior Hockey following high school.

Nate Dey capped off that conference championship with All-Conference & All-State honors. He was Minnesota's 2003 Mr. Hockey. Nate played four years at St. Cloud in the WCHAA. Nate ended his career as a captain for the Huskies.

Peasley has been working in the program for the past four seasons. Dey and Willms are coaching high school hockey for the first time. Coach Diebel, also a former Polar player, has this to say about his former players and current colleagues, "They bring a wealth of hockey knowledge which will definitely benefit the current players. The best thing about these guys is that they are here for the right reasons. All our giving time to the program to help our kids develop as players but most importantly as people."
