Former Skppers star and Toronto Maple Leafs rookie playing with veteran poise

Minetonka's Jake Gardiner is playing with the poise of a veteran in his rookie season with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Gardiner, 21, is averaging more than 20 minutes per game -- third most among rookie defensemen and has earned the nickname "Silver Stick" from his teammates in reference to the gift NHL players receive when they reach the 1,000-game plateau.
