Tom Monteiro led the Hawks with two goals & Greg Nightingale scored his first High School goal to make three total for Cooper. But as Jacques Lemaire used to say, "dey score four, we need score five".

The Hawks fell one goal short of the Spartans & made a valiant effort to tie it up as Captain Morgen hit the post in the dying seconds of the game. Somerset was just one step ahead for most of the game. More solid play on the power play would have helped the Hawks even the score, but the Spartans were able to put together good penalty killing play that grounded the Hawks. Even though the Hawks outshot the Spartans, special teams play ended up making the difference.
