Eagan impresses in 10-1 over Lakeville North; Edina Holiday Classic report

The Overtime Radio paid a visit to Thursday's South Suburban Conference matchup between Eagan and Lakeville North. A sound 10-0 victory by Eagan was the result, and Wildcats head coach Mike Taylor discussed his team and the win.

Elk River opened the Edina Holiday Classic with a 2-0 lead yet had to settle for a 3-3 tie with Eden Prairie. After taking the 3-2 lead with just 2:05 remaining in the third period, the Elks were minutes away from a victory.  Instead, Eden Prairie's Andrew Knudsen tied the score just 35 seconds later forcing overtime and the eventual tie.

Joining the show are Elk River coach Tony Sarsland and forward Andrew Zerban, who had two goals and an assist. Eden Prairie coach Lee Smith and Andrew Knudsen also checked in with their post game comments.

Period number three takes a look at Edina's 4-3 win over Grand Rapids, as the Hornets hung on after leading 4-1 early in the third period. Edina outshot the Thunderhawks by a 40-26 margin and Grand Rapids was without the injured Jake Bischoff.

Interviews with Curt Giles and Bo Brauer from Edina while Bruce Laroque and Nate Mondry from Grand Rapids grace the Overtime Radio Show's presence.

A programming reminder, check out the Edina Holiday Classic on Friday night as the OTSN.tv will air both games from Braemar Arena.

A new Overtime Radio Show posts every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon.
