Firepower isn't an issue for Breck, Duluth Marshall

About the Mustangs: Breck comes into the tournament battle-tested after surviving a puck onslaught from Blake in a 7-5 Section 2 final victory. Starting goaltender Jack Kenny was pulled in favor of backup Henry Johnson in that game, but when you have the kind of scoring output the Mustangs do, rarely -- if ever -- is there reason for panic. Linemates Conor Andrle and Grant Opperman have racked up 76 and 73 points, respectively, heading into the tournament, while the brother tandem of Keegan and Wesley Iverson (106 points combined) fuel the second-line power. It adds up to a Breck team that is six goals away from breaking the program record for goals in a season, set by the Class 1A championship team two years ago.

About the Hilltoppers: Memo to Breck players: Stay out of the penalty box. Duluth Marshall has a field day with the man advantage, converting at a clip of nearly 40 percent for the season. Nearly a third of the team's goals this season have come on the power play. Judd Peterson is especially dangerous when he has puck and space to move with it. His 79 points (44 goals, 35 assists) broke the school record of Jack Connolly, a Hobey Baker Award candidate for Minnesota Duluth.

Did you know? Duluth Marshall never has won a MSHSL boys' hockey tournament, but Duluth Cathedral -- the school's former name -- won five state Catholic tournaments in the 1960s.
