Jack Jablonski is back in the hospital, his family said Thursday, because of "several alarming incidents."

Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret's High School hockey player paralyzed from a check in a junior varsity game on Dec. 30, left a rehabilitation center last week.

However, according to the family's CaringBridge website, he went to an emergency room Wednesday.

He's now being cared for at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, where a spokeswoman said late Thursday morning that he was in good condition.

Wednesday was supposed to be when Jablonski and his younger brother were to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Minnesota Twins home game against the Red Sox. But that never happened.

"Imagine how excited they were, and then how crushed we all felt as we watched Jack suffer from issues that are common to people with spinal cord injuries," the CaringBridge entry noted. "Usually these issues subside, but not this time.

"After several alarming incidents, it was time to head to the ER. Jack was admitted to the hospital . . ."
