Currently, 12 of 14 players that participate in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League.  With the Nike/Bauer Invitational set to begin play this week and over 100 college and NHL scouts on hand, expect that number to increase.

All thirty NHL teams have requested credentials for the tournament this weekend that features the best from Minnesota (two teams selected from the fall league), Wisconsin, California (two teams), and Michigan.  The eight team format will be played in the classic bracket format.

Six University of Minnesota commitments played in the league this past season while Wisconsin, UMD, and North Dakota each boast two recruits from the League.
