Fundraiser set for Mounds View player

Nov. 11 event dedicated to Josh Lavalle, who was diagnosed with leukemia in June

A fundraiser for Mounds View player Josh Lavalle titled “Lavapalooza” has been scheduled for Nov. 11 at Mounds View High School.

Lavalle, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June, has undergone multiple medical tests, chemotherapy and had numerous hospital stays. 
 
A senior captain for the Mustangs, Lavalle also is involved in football and baseball.
 
The fundraiser is scheduled for 3-7 p.m. and includes a silent auction, band and $10 Vescios Rigatoni Dinner. The cost is $15 at the door.
 
Tickets can be purchased at the Caribou at Lexington Ave. and County Road E on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to noon and at Village Scoop in North Oaks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
