Eric Scheid, the former Blaine star who is among the scoring leaders for the USHL's Lincoln Stars this season, has committed to play at Penn State University.

Scheid, who scored 20 goals and added 28 assists as a Bengals senior in 2009-10, played a season in Lincoln after high school and was at the University of Alaska-Anchorage last season. He returned to Lincoln this season to explore other college options.
