#2 Centennial 7 Coon Rapids 2

The #2 ranked Centennial Cougars were led by their big three as Tyler Pitlick notched the hat trick and added 2 assists in his team's 7-2 romp over Coon Rapids. Willie Hess added 1 goal and 2 assists and Jordan Lovick scored a goal to keep pace for the top spot in the Northwest Suburban conference with Blaine. Robert Erickson had 2 assists for the Cardinals.


#4 Blaine 4 Osseo 1

MyFoxHockey.com's #4 ranked Blaine Bengals utilized 3 second period goals en-route to the 4-1 Northwest Suburban Conference win over the Osseo Orioles. Four different players scored for the Bengals as Luke Bayer was credited with the game winning goal. Nick Bjugstad had a goal and an assist for the Bengals.


#6 Minnetonka 2 Wayzata 1 (ot)

Sam Coatta pounced on a loose puck and tucked it past Wayzata goalie Ty Simcoe for the 2-1 overtime victory. After Matt Straate scored at :17 of the first period, the Trojans held the 1-0 lead for the next 45 minutes of play. Pete Carbonneau tied the game at 1 late in the third period to force overtime. The Skippers improved their record to 3-0 in Classic Lake Conference action.


#8 Woodbury 5 Stillwater 1

The Woodbury Royals continued their impressive march through the Suburban East Conference with a 5-1 win over the Stillwater Ponies. Tony Pittman had 2 goals and an assist to propel his team to the victory.


Shattuck St. Mary's 7 #10 Benilde St. Margaret's 3

The Shattuck St. Mary's Sabres blew open a 3-3 tie after two periods with four unanswered third period goals. The Red Knights held a 2-1 lead early in the second period. Bryan Glynn, David Tranvik, and Christian Horn scored for BSM.

Hopkins 5 Armstrong 4

Freshman wing Travis Boyd tallied a hat trick lead added an assist to lead the Royals past the Armstrong Falcons in Classic Lake action Thursday night. His third goal of the game came at 5:44 of the third period as the Royals went on to win. Senior Nate Seashore scored the Royals other two goals in the win. The Royals improved to 2-1 in the conference and currently stand in second place, one game behind Minnetonka.


Hill Murray 4 South St. Paul 2

The Hill Murray Pioneers defeated the South St. Paul Packers in a big Classic Suburban Conference game by a score of 4-2. Ben Bahe scored the game's first two goals and Jordan Johnson tallied in the second period to open a commanding 3-0 lead for the Pioneers. The win erased a 1-1 tie a couple of weeks back for the Pioneers who continue to build their new identity and continue to make their move toward the section playoffs. The win also kept them on pace for a rematch game with the St. Thomas Academy Cadets with the Conference title potentially on the line.


Maple Grove 7 Champlin Park 1

Matt Dee potted the hat trick to lead the Maple Grove Crimson to a 7-1 win over neighboring Champlin Park. Josh Gross had four assists in the effort to help maintain the Crimson stronghold on third place in the Northwest Suburban Conference and more importantly, keep pace with the top two teams in the conference race in Blaine and Centennial.


St. Thomas Academy 7 Simley 1

The St. Thomas Academy Cadets scored the game's first seven goals to ride the crest to a 7-1 win over Simley. Seven different players scored in the victory for the Cadets who are currently in first place in the Classic Suburban Conference and have played two more games than the Hill Murray Pioneers who are keeping pace for the top spot.


Buffalo 8 Princeton/Milaca 2

The Buffalo Bison were led by Zach Blaisdell's 2 goals and 4 assists. Josh Gaughn had 2 goals and added a goal and 2 assists to the victory. The Bison scored 4 third period goals to pull away from Princeton Milaca and improve their conference record to 8-1-0. They have a big game coming up Saturday with Rogers as they will need to hold serve to capture a minimum of a share of the Mississippi 8 title.
