Film series focuses on the Trojans during their quest to return to the state tournament

A film series focusing on the Wayzata boys’ hockey team gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at high school hockey in Minnesota.

The project, a collaboration between Reebok-CCM Hockey and Rival Films, examines the culture, the foundation and the demands of Wayzata’s student-athletes.

The Trojans, ranked No. 4 in the state, reached the state Class 2A tournament in 2013 and have high hopes to return to St. Paul in 2014. They went 19-5-1 during the regular season, are the top seed in Section 6AA and are coming off Thursday’s 13-0 section quarterfinal win over Robbinsdale Cooper.

Wayzata resumes section tournament action at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday against No. 4 seed Benilde-St. Margaret's at the Bloomington Ice Garden.

The series includes a trailer and seven episodes filmed during the 2013-14 season.

Episode 2: Building the foundation

Episode 3: Road show

Episode 4: Enemy at the gate

Episode 5: Monday

Episode 6: The Big Picture
