During the regular season, the senior forward led the Rangers with 32 assists and was second on the team in points with 38. As evidenced by his stats, Egle’s niche is as a passer. High-scoring linemates Brett Gravelle and Ryan Herbert have benefited all season from Egle’s ability and willingness to set up his teammates.

You like to pass a lot. Where does that selflessness come from? I guess I like to see other people score. It’s more fun to set someone up for a goal than to get one myself. It’s easy when you play with guys like Brett. Even if you have a bad game, he can carry the team all by himself. It’s great to have that chemistry. I know where he’s going to be and he knows where I’m going to be.

Celebration song? After we win we listen to “Timber” by Ke$sha and Pitbull.

And if you lose? Nothing. It’s usually pretty quiet.

Which athlete do you most admire? I’d have to say Zach Parise. He’s from Minnesota and I look up to him. His work ethic is unreal.

What’s been the high-point of the season so far? When we beat White Bear Lake. It’s always fun to beat White Bear because they’re always a rivalry for us and usually pretty good.
