For the second time in as many games, the Rebels held a two goal lead.....and lost it.  The Rebels started fast jumping to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Alec Robinson at the 9:50 mark of the first period on the powerplay.  The second period started much the same as the first with Centennial buzzing the Rebel net but unable to put one past netminder Zach Duberry.  John McDonald pushed the Rebel lead to two at 8:51 also on the powerplay.  Centennial cut the Rebel lead in half with a goal at 7:33 setting the stage for the dramatic third.

The Rebels would hold a 2-1 lead until 8:36 of the third when Jared Brunn tied it up for the Cougars.  Both teams would have good scoring chances the rest of the way but it would take an unfortunate bounce off the end boards to beat Duberry and seal the Rebel's fate.  With the loss Champlin Park moves to 0-1-1 in the conference and 1-2-1 overall.  The Rebels are in action next on Thursday December 17th against Blaine
