The MN Hockey Hub sent Peter Waggoner to Hermantown to cover the Hockey Day Minnesota 2010 festivities.
Through the lense of his video camera, Waggoner worked to capture the sites and sounds that accompany three great games of outdoor hockey in a puck-crazed community.
Enjoy the videos below for a sense of the event that Waggoner described as: "A true testimonial of why hockey is the greatest sport on earth and why those around it are equally special. It did indeed take me back to my mite days as our fathers would shovel the ice between periods, our siblings were skating on the ice or playing in the snow, and the elements did not faze anyone in attendance.
"It was an honor to be at Hermantown."
