Let’s start this Top Games of the Week story with an admission: Yes, this is the week that includes Hockey Day Minnesota, a full day of games from all levels of hockey - including two boys’ high school varsity contests - that is one of the best viewing pleasures of the season.

But we can’t name it, or any of the day's matchups as the top Game of the Week.

Not when we have a game featuring the top two teams in the rankings.

Hermantown, ranked No. 1 in the Class 1A coaches poll, hosts No. 2-1A Duluth Marshall in a game with an abundance of storylines. This is not only our Top Game of the Week, but one of the best games of the entire season.
