Dylan Malmquist

Edina, senior forward

Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year. Set career highs in goals (28) and assists (43). Became Edina’s leader in career points (213). Makes plays everywhere on the ice and shines in clutch situations. Signed with Notre Dame.

 

Jake Jaremko

Elk River/Zimmerman, senior forward

Consistent high effort made him dangerous in every game. Contributed 25 goals and 54 assists. Signed with Minnesota State Mankato.

 

Nick Poehling

Lakeville North, senior forward

Posted hat tricks against Edina and Hill-Murray. Sparked undefeated Lakeville North with tenacity and grit. Signed with St. Cloud State.

 

Seamus Donohue

St. Thomas Academy, senior defenseman

Considered the state tournament-bound Cadets’ most valuable player. Always in the right spot to succeed. Headed to Air Force Academy.

 

Jack McNeely

Lakeville North, senior defenseman

Anchored the Panthers defense with steady, consistent play. Rarely panics. Signed with Nebraska-Omaha.

 

Ryan Edquist

Lakeville North, junior goalie

Transfer from Shattuck-St. Mary’s exceeded high expectations. Went 26-0, stopped 94 percent of shots faced and blanked eight opponents. Committed to the Gophers.

 

How the team was picked

The Star Tribune’s All-Metro teams and Player of the Year were chosen based on nominations from metro-area coaches, conversations with a panel of coaches and staff observations.
