Moose Lake Area boys lose a pair December 3, 2015 | Volume 128, Number 49 The Rebels boys hockey team lost a heartbreaker with a 5-4 overtime defeat against St. Paul Como Park at Oscar Johnson Arena in St. Paul on Tuesday, November 24. The Rebels were out-shot 49-35 with Logan McNulty taking the tough loss with 44 saves. MLA went 1-for-2 on the power play while St. Paul Como Park was 1-for-3 on the advantage. Alex Erickson led the Rebels with two goals. Bryceton Butkiewicz had a goal and an assist. Hunter Lake had two assists. Wyatt Lampel and Devin Murphy each had an assist. MLA fell 9-3 to the Proctor Rails at Riverside Arena on Saturday, November 28. The Rebels were only out-shot 35-31. McNulty took the loss in goal. Proctor went 2-for-5 on the power play while MLA went 1-for-3 on the advantage. Butkiewicz was one bright spot for the Rebels as he had a hat trick. Nick Wegge had two assists. Brendan Lake, Lampel and Michael Lilya each had an assist. The Rebels host Mora on Tuesday, December 8 and North Shore on Thursday, December 10 with both games scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
