Rebel boys keep it close with the St.Paul Scots.

The Moose Lake Area boys varsity hockey team lost to the St. Paul Highland Park Scots 2-3 at Riverside Arena Saturday, Dec. 5. There was no scoring until later in the first period when the Scots had two power-play goals within 9 seconds. The goals at 15:17 and 15:26 gave the Scots a 2-0 lead in which they took into the second period. At 5:40 in the second, the Rebels found the net with Devin Murphy scoring with an assist from Alex Erickson. The game stayed at 2-1 in favor of the Scotts ending the second period. In period three Hunter Lake found the 5-hole with an assist from Murphy at 9:57, tieing the score 2-2. About a minute and a half later the Scots scored the game-winning goal at 11:26.
