Last year, Champlin Park put together a perfect regular season record en route to a Northwest Suburban Conference title. The Rebels rode the momentum through the section playoffs and into the Class 4A state tournament, where they lost in the championship game.

Champlin Park, ranked No. 5 in Class 4A by Minnesota Basketball News, may not have a perfect record at stake now, but the Rebels would love to pick up a win over rival Maple Grove on Tuesday that could spark another long postseason run.

The No. 4-4A Crimson (17-3, 11-2) are looking to bounce back following a disappointing 59-51 upset loss to Centennial last week that snapped a five-game winning streak.

Champlin Park (16-3, 12-1) enters the week having won six of its last seven games, a streak started after its lone league loss - a 77-64 defeat to unbeaten Osseo on Jan. 7.

With one team riding a hot streak and another looking to overcome a disappointing loss, this clash of Northwest Suburban contenders and ranked
Class 4A teams should make for a great Top Game of the Week.
