Panthers win their sixth straight

LAKEVILLE NORTH 4, ST. THOMAS ACADEMY 1

Henry Enebak scored two goals to lead the Class 2A, No. 8 Panthers past the No. 15 Cadets. Ryan Poehling gave the Panthers the lead for good 23 seconds after the Cadets tied the game. Payton Matsui scored for the Cadets 8 minutes, 49 seconds into the second period. Taylor Schneider also scored for the Panthers. Atticus Kelly stopped 37 shots for the Cadets.

HOLY FAMILY 5, ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE 2

Matt Anderson scored two goals and had an assist to lead the Class 2A, No. 2 Fire past the Knights. Will Garin had a goal and two assists and Ethan Mesler and Tyler Rock scored goals for the Fire. Blake Spetz scored for the Knights. Jaxon Stauber stopped 35 for the Fire. Kyle Hayden stopped 28 shots for the Knights.

SHAKOPEE 6, PROVIDENCE ACADEMY 2

The Sabers broke the game open with four goals in the second period. Tommy Schmid broke a 1-1 tie with a power play goal 2 minutes, 48 seconds into the middle frame. Matt Smieja, Ethan Sievek and Nathan Mukai extended the lead to 5-1 within a 6 minute, 51 second span. Alex Gaul scored in the first and third periods for the Sabers. Tyler Tessmann and Daniel Haataja scored for the Lions. Bradley Koskie stopped 40 shots for the Lions.

CHISAGO LAKES 3, HENRY SIBLEY 2 (OT)

Brandon Caudill scored 20 seconds into overtime to lift the Wildcats past the Warriors. Caudill scored two goals in the game, including the game’s first goal as well as the game-winner. Sam Ohmes sent the game to overtime with 1 minute, 13 seconds remaining in the third period for the Warriors. Chasse Heiskala gave the Wildcats their second lead of the game midway through the second period. Adam Tschida got the Warriors on the board in the first period. Bryce Thompson stopped 29 shots for the Wildcats. Charlie Harrity stopped 32 shots for the Warriors.

FOREST LAKE 6, ST. FRANCIS 5

Derick Johnson recorded a hat trick with 3 minutes, 11 seconds remaining in the third period to lift the Rangers past the Saints. Reese Kaehler scored two goals in a 3:08 span to tie the game at 5-5 shortly before Johnson scored the game-winning goal. John Doherty also recorded scored three goals for the Rangers. Travis Carroll scored two goals and Logan Olson had one for the Saints. Nick Nelson stopped 33 shots for the Rangers.

DULUTH EAST 5, LAKEVILLE SOUTH 4 (OT)

The Cougars fell 1 minute, 5 seconds short of upsetting the Class 2A, No. 14 Greyhounds. Ash Altmann sent the game to overtime and Ryder Donovan scored 1 minute, 32 seconds into the extra session for the Greyhounds. Zach Bauer gave the Cougars a 4-3 lead 6 minutes, 2 second into the third period. Andrew Cook, Cory Checco and Adam Hazlett scored three straight goals to give the Cougars a 3-1 lead early in the second period. Isaiah Dilaura stopped 24 shots for the Cougars.

ST. PAUL ACADEMY 5, BLAKE 2

Will Kelly and Dev McCabe scored two goals each to lead the Class 1A, No. 9 Spartans past the Bears. Cullen McCabe also scored for the Bears. Sasha Shogren and Johnny Ferguson scored for the Bears. Andrew Dietrich stopped 37 shots for the Bears.

SOUTH ST. PAUL 5, NORTH ST. PAUL 1

Dan Pietruszewski scored three goals to help the Packers pull away from the Polars. Cole Buhl had a goal and two assists and Cameron Buhl had three assists for the Packers. Nate Evazich got the scoring started 5 minutes, 47 seconds into the game for the Packers. Joe Reubish scored late in the first period to get the Polars on the board. Malachy Zamacona stopped 31 shots for the Polars.

ROSEMOUNT 5, EAST RIDGE 1

Charlie Monn scored two goals and had an assist to lift the Irish past the Raptors. Austin Dollimer and Chad Hinkle had a goal and an assist each and Zach Levandowski scored a goal for the Irish. Carter VanDenEinde scored for the Raptors. Nick Hart stopped 21 shots for the Irish. Nick Stearns stopped 22 shots for the Raptors.

PRINCETON 3, NORTHERN LAKES 0

The Tigers scored three goals in the second period to defeat the Lightning. Tyler McAlpine got the scoring started 50 seconds into the middle frame. Jake S. Carlson and Johnny Groebner also scored for the Tigers. Owen Othoudt stopped 30 shots for the shutout. Matt Stangel stopped 37 shots for the Lightning.

NEW PRAGUE 7, MOUND WESTONKA 3

Zach Skaja scored three goals and Zach Davis had two goals and three assists to lead the Trojans past the Whitehawks. Alex Gregor had five assists, Nathan Berg had a goal and an assist and Sam Gregor scored a goal for the Trojans. Michael Niederer, Sam Wambold and Jerry Krahl scored for the Whitehawks. Holton Stricklen stopped 35 shots for the Whitehawks.

PARK OF COTTAGE GROVE 6, HASTINGS 2

Nick Lucas scored two goals to lead the Wolfpack past the Raiders. Zakk Morse and Jordan Strand had a goal and an assist each and Jake Palodichuk and Jack Valento scored a goal each for the Wolfpack. Joey Werner and Nate Holm scored for the Raiders. Dylan Coulter stopped 25 shots for the Wolfpack. Elliott Cysiewski stopped 22 shots for the Raiders.
