Regular season co-champions Team North and Team Northeast are on opposite sides of the bracket, setting up a possible championship-game meeting in the Upper Midwest High School Elite Hockey League playoffs Oct. 29-31 at New Hope Ice Arena in New Hope.
Team North and Team Northwest finished with identical 13-7-1 records in league play, but Team North won two of the three head-to-head contests, earning the top playoff seed and the right to face Omaha AAA in the tournament’s first round on Friday, Oct. 29, at 5:15 p.m.
The other semifinal on that side of the bracket matches Team Wisconsin against Team Great Plains at 7:45 p.m. Friday.
Team Northwest finds itself playing Team Northeast in a 5:45 p.m. quarterfinal on New Hope’s South rink. Team Southeast will face Team Southwest in the last quarterfinal at 8:15 p.m.
The semifinals are at 3:45 and 6:15 on Saturday, Oct. 30, with the championship game set for 1:15 Sunday. Consolation-round play will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
