Offseason 'deposits' have been paying dividends for Warriors

Brainerd Warriors' head coach Jim Archibald has a simple outlook on the season. It's an outlook as simple as the old saying "a penny saved is a penny earned".

Archibald compares the season and its preparation to a savings account.

Basically, every player needs to make deposits before and during the season so when they need to make withdrawals, their 'accounts' will be full and well-stocked.

These deposits are hard work - on and off the ice.

The withdrawals are using that hard work and turning it into success.

The Warriors have been cashing in on those successes this year as they currently hold a 3-0-0 record, outscoring opponents 22-5.

Brainerd will travel down to St. Cloud this week to take on St. Cloud Tech on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.

The game is ranked the #6 Best Game of the Week by Breakdown Sports USA's Tim Kolehmainen and is a MN Hockey Hub spotlight game.
