Violation of MSHSL rules forces tough situation for Broncos

International Falls was forced to suspend 11 members of its varsity hockey program due to violations of Minnesota State High School League rules after a party during the weekend of Dec. 10-12.

An unreported number of players were forced to sit out of the Broncos game Tuesday, Dec. 14 against Lake of the Woods.

“I want all of you to know that the Bronco boys hockey team sincerely apologizes for the recent Minnesota State High School League rules that 11 of our players and support staff had broken on the weekend of Dec. 10,” Mike Bolstad, head coach of the Broncos, said in a statement.
