Player of the Week candidates for Dec. 12-16

Riley Versich, Hibbing/Chisholm F, Senior: Versich recorded two goals and one assist for No. 13-1A Hibbing/Chisholm in its 5-1 win over No. 9-1A Greenway.

Sam Huff, Maple Grove F, Senior: Huff scored one goal and one assist for No. 18-2A Maple Grove, leading them to a 2-1 victory over No. 8-2A Minnetonka. Huff is tied for ninth in the state with 10 goals this season.

Brock Draeger, Lakeville North D, Senior: Draeger led No. 9-2A Lakeville North with one goal and one assist as the Panthers defeated No. 11-2A Duluth East in a 3-2 win.

Gavin Hain, Grand Rapids F, Junior: In a showdown between top ranked teams, No. 3-2A Grand Rapids and No. 7-2A Edina, Hain scored one goal and two assists to lead the Thunderhawks to a 5-3 win.

Jack Brandby, St. Paul Highland Park G, Junior: Brandby recorded 47 saves for St. Paul Highland Park as they fell to Minnehaha Academy in a 8-1 loss.

Carter Breitenfeldt, Breck F, Senior: Breitenfeldt played a vital role for No. 4-1A Breck in its matchup with No. 15-1A New Prague. He finished with three goals and two assists in the 9-1 win over New Prague.

Kory Pilarski, North St. Paul F, Sophomore: Pilarski finished with two goals and four assists for North St. Paul en route to a 8-4 victory over Hastings. Pilarski ranks second in the state with 14 goals.

Ryan Sandelin, Hermantown F, Senior: Sandelin had an impressive performance for No. 2-1A Hermantown recording two goals in a 4-1 victory over No. 8-2A Minnetonka.

Jesse Bjugstad, Stillwater D, Senior: Bjugstad helped secure the 8-4 win for No. 2-2A Stillwater over Park of Cottage Grove with four goals for the Ponies. Bjugstad leads his team with seven goals.

Nicolas Gonrowski, Robbinsdale Armstrong D, Senior: Gonrowski led Robbinsdale Armstrong to a 8-6 win over No. 18-1A Totino-Grace, scoring three goals for the Wings.
