Big arena, big victory for Duluth East

Greyhounds win inaugural high school boy's hockey game at Amsoil Arena

In the past four games, Duluth East has visited some of the top arenas in the state of Minnesota.

The Greyhounds played at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis, the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul and the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine last week during the Schwan Cup.

On Monday, Jan. 3, the Greyhounds played closer to home as they battled Duluth Central in the first-ever high school boy's hockey game at the new Amsoil Arena in Duluth.

An announced attendance of 4,478 packed into Amsoil Arena for the game and saw Duluth East defeat Duluth Central 7-1.
