Brigino stops 41 in loss at Minnetonka.

MINNETONKA, Minn. -- Goalie Alex Brigino stopped a career-high 41 shots but it was the lone highlight for Benilde-St. Margaret's, which suffered a 6-0 defeat at the hands of 11th-ranked Minnetonka.

The Skippers scored less than three minutes into the game and used a 16-3 advantage in shots on goal to grab a 3-0 lead through the game's first 17 minutes.

Brigino stopped 12 of 13 shots in the second period as he kept the Skippers at bay through the middle stanza.

However, in the final period, Minnetonka had four power-play chances which resulted in 10 shots on goal and an 18-3 margin for the period as the Skippers cruised to the final of the six-goal win.

The schedule doesn't get any easier this week for the Red Knights, who will host No. 7 Lakeville North, Tuesday, and defending state champion Wayzata, Thursday, in a pair of 7 p.m. games at the St. Louis Park Recreation Center.

Alex Brigino made a career-high 41 saves.
