Player of the Week revealed

This week's winner

Jacob Phipps, Anoka. In a 69-64 victory over Irondale, the junior forward led the Tornadoes with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

The other candidates

Davarrio Douglas, FAIR School. The senior forward contributed 25 points, 11 rebounds and three assists in a 79-72 victory over Heritage Academy.

Mitch Jerde, Forest Lake. The senior forward led the team with 40 points, as the Rangers cruised to a 83-67 victory over Stillwater.

Walt McGrory, Edina. The senior guard finished with 22 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in a 80-71 victory over No. 4-3A Orono.

Daniel Oturu, Cretin-Derham Hall. The junior forward and Minnesota commit had a big game against Woodbury, tallying 33 points, 15 rebounds and two assists to help the No. 7-4A Raiders win 89-73.

Tywhon Pickford, Maple Grove. The senior guard continues to impress, putting up 26 points, 11 rebounds and two assists in the No. 2-4A Crimson's huge 72-68 victory over rival Osseo.

Mitchell Plombon, St. Cloud Cathedral. The junior center recorded his second double-double of the season in the No. 6-2A Crusaders' dominating 90-69 win at Milaca. He finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Jericho Sims, Cristo Rey Jesuit. The senior forward and Texas commit scored 40 points a 75-63 win over Blake.

DeAndre Smith, Simley. The senior forward posted a team-high 44 points in a 81-64 victory over Metro East Conference rival Henry Sibley.

Jalen Suggs, Minnehaha Academy. The freshman guard led the No. 1-2A Redhawks with 34 points as they defeated Waconia 71-57.
