Leddy makes strong impression on Hawks

Teenage defenseman earning playing time with maturity and poise

Two years ago, Nick Leddy was a star defenseman at Eden Prairie, led the Eagles to the State Championship and was a recipient of the historic Mr. Hockey Award.

Now in 2011, the former Minnesota Wild first-round draft pick is playing in the NHL for the Chicago Blackhawks.

Leddy made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks in 2010 but has played a majority of the season with the Rockford Ice Hogs - Chicago's AHL affiliate - as well as Team USA in the 2011 World Junior Championships.
