Player of the Week candidates for Jan. 23-28

This week's winner

Bennett Hawley, Blake. The junior forward scored one goal and added four assists in a 7-6 overtime win against Rochester Lourdes. Hawley leads his team with 19 assists.

The other candidates

Dalton Agnes, Bagley/Fosston. The senior forward recorded a hat trick and had one assist in a 6-5 victory over Wadena-Deer Creek. Agnes leads his team with 10 goals this season.

Jimmy Engen, Brainerd. The senior goaltender stopped 28 of 29 shots in a 2-1 overtime win against Bemidji, recording a .966 save percentage.

Ethan Haider, Maple Grove. The freshman goaltender recorded his second shutout of the season, stopping all 24 shots he faced in 2-0 win over No. 1-2A Hill-Murray.

Zach Herro, Eastview. The senior goaltender recorded a .969 save percentage, stopping 31 shots in 2-1 win against Rosemount.

Luke LaMaster, Duluth East. The junior defenseman scored Duluth East’s first and last goals and added two assists in a 5-3 win over Prior Lake.

Riley Lindstrom, St. Paul Highland Park. In a 5-4 overtime win over Simley, the senior defenseman recorded four assists, including one on the game-winner. Lindstrom leads his team this season in assists (24) and points (31).

Jake Seitz, Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl. Seitz scored a hat trick in 5-4 win over Eveleth-Gilbert. The junior forward tied the game on a shorthanded goal in the third period, then scored again with just over one minute remaining.

Brendan Westbrook, Pine City Area. The senior had a hand in all of Pine City’s goals, recording a hat trick and adding two assists in a 5-4 win over Mora-Milaca. Westbrook leads his team in goals (31) and points (63).

Brady Wright, International Falls. The senior forward scored three goals, including the eventual game-winner, and added an assist in a 4-2 win over North Shore. Wright leads his team with 15 goals and 24 points on the season.
