Sawyer stops 19 of 20 in BSM win at Chaska.

CHASKA -- Benilde-St. Margaret's had just 13 skaters dress but those who were able to go put together a 5-1 win at Chaska.

All 13 Red Knight skaters recorded shots on goal and nine of the 13 collected points in the victory.

The first period appeared headed to a scoreless affair before Cole Anderson struck for the game's first goal in the final second of the frame.

Anderson then helped make it a 2-0 game when he set up Charlie Warnert for his team-leading third short-handed goal of the season five minutes, 44 seconds, into the second period.

The Hawks cut the lead in half just 27 seconds later but it took the visitors just 18 seconds to restore the two-goal lead when Anderson scored his second goal of the game.

The scoring blitz continued 45 seconds later when Luke Coughlin, who set up Anderson's second goal, got an assist from Anderson to make it a 4-1 score.

The Red Knights dominated the second period, holding a 19-5 advantage in shots on goal, and capped their four-goal second period when Everett Palmer notched his fifth goal of the season.

While BSM's offense was clicking, so did goalie Jack Sawyer. After facing just 11 shots in the first two periods, he made nine more in the final period, keeping Chaska at bay and allowing his team to complete the four-goal win.

Next up for the Red Knights is a return home, Thursday, for a 5 p.m. non-conference game versus Breck.

Cole Anderson scored twice and assisted on two other goals in BSM's 5-1 win.
