Red Knights dominate in 2-0 win over Mustangs

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. -- Benilde-St. Margaret's hled a 33-10 advantage in shots on goal, won more than 60 percent of the game's faceoff, have five power-play opportunities while not allowing one, and claimed a 2-0 junior varsity over Breck.

Despite the dominant performance, the Red Knights scored with just over 10 minutes in the game, again with just over 10 minutes remaining in the game and got nothing in between.

Lukas Metcalfe's team-leading 12th goal of the season would get the hosts on the scoreboard and prove to be the only goal BSM would need.

It would take another 19 minutes for the Red Knights to get back on the scoreboard when Metcalfe set up Johnny Khalil with 10:54 to play in the game.

Caelan Woog assisted on both goals, giving him a team-best 17 assists and a team-leading 25 points on the season.

The Red Knights return home, Saturday, for a 12:30 p.m. game versus Eden Praire.

Jonathan Vitelli recorded his third shutout of the season in defeating Breck.
