No. 1, 2A Eden Prairie 4, Wayzata 2. It was an intense match up between two Lake Conference teams, as the Eagles earned the win. Minnesota commit, Casey Mittelstadt, tallied two goals, while three other players for the Eagles posted multi-point games. Griffin Ness for the Trojans tallied a goal and an assist. Goaltenders for both teams had solid nights as Eagles goalie NIck Wiencek stopped 21 of 23 shots (.913), While Trojans Goalie Reid Waszczenko stopped 37 of 41 shots (.902). The Eagles extend their win streak to 12 games.

No. 6, 2A Lakeville North 4, Eagan 3 OT. The Panthers stepped up big for a win against the Wildcats. Two players for the Panthers posted multi-point games. Max McGlade had a goal and an assist, while his counterpart Spencer Schneider tallied a goal and two assists. Leading scorer Blake Brandt stepped up big for his team by scoring the game winner in overtime. Junior Jake Burke scored two goals for Eagan to record his first multipoint game this year.

No. 5, 2A Stillwater 4, White Bear Lake 0. Leading his team in points and ninth in the state, Noah Cates was able to tally two assists tonight to help his team capture the win. White Bear Goaltender Bob Parenteau stopped 41 of 45 shots (.911) and helped his team hold the ponies without a goal in the first and second periods.

No. 6, 1A St. Cloud Cathedral 4, Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake 2. Three players for the Crusaders tallied three points tonight. Monticello fought hard in the second and third periods, but they couldn’t handle the offense of the Crusaders. Leading scorer for the Crusaders senior Jake Van Halbeck tallied a goal and two assists; this is his eighth game this season where he tallied three points. St. Cloud heads into the playoffs with win under their belt.

No. 8, 2A St. Thomas Academy 9, Academy of Holy Angels 2. A close game between two private schools with rich history, but the Cadets earned the win. Cadets senior, and leading scorer, Willie Riem scored two goals and had two assists. Three other players tallied multi-point games. Stars leading scorer, senior, Isaac Baron scored his team’s only two goals in the first period. This caps off the season for the Cadets as they end with a nine game win streak. This is the Stars third loss in a row.

No. 7, 2A Centennial 4, Totino-Grace 1. A tough game between the Eagles and the Cougars as they shared 56 penalty minutes, but it’s the Cougars that end up with the win. Three players for Centennial score two points including leading scorer Lucas McGregor tallying two goals. Eagles Sam Hentges was able to score a goal for his team.

Cambridge-Isanti 3, Princeton 3 OT. It was close game in this Mississippi Eight conference matchup. Two players tallied two points for the Bluejackets, including senior Peyton Treichel who scored two goals; this is his third multi point game. Matthew Swanson tallied two assists tonight for the Tigers. Princeton goalie Owen Othoudt stopped 34 of 37 shots (.919), while Blue Jackets’ goalie Logan Hyland stopped 35 of 38 shots (.921).
